What is Mulgatani Soup Veg?

Mulgatani Soup Veg is a traditional South Indian-inspired lentil soup with a medley of vegetables, seasoned with aromatic spices and enriched with a tangy tamarind flavor. The name “Mulgatani” is derived from the Tamil words “milagu” (pepper) and “tannir” (water), reflecting its roots in the peppery and tangy flavors characteristic of South Indian cuisine.

This vegetarian version of Mulgatani Soup combines the richness of lentils with fresh vegetables like carrots, beans, and tomatoes. Spices such as cumin, coriander, and turmeric provide warmth, while tamarind or lemon juice adds a refreshing tang. It is both nutritious and satisfying, making it an excellent appetizer or light main course for vegetarians and vegans alike.
