What is Mango?

Mango is a sweet and juicy tropical fruit known as the “king of fruits” due to its vibrant flavor, versatility, and nutritional benefits. It has smooth, golden-yellow to reddish skin, depending on the variety, and soft, fibrous, or non-fibrous orange-yellow flesh with a large central seed.

Mangoes are loved worldwide for their naturally sweet and tangy taste. They can be eaten fresh, blended into smoothies, used in desserts, or made into savory dishes like chutneys and salsas. Packed with vitamins A, C, and E, along with antioxidants and dietary fiber, mangoes are both delicious and nutritious.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe mango (peeled and chopped)
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt

  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mango:
Peel the mango, remove the seed, and cut the flesh into small chunks.

  2. Blend:
In a blender, add the mango chunks, yogurt, milk (or water), sugar (or honey), and cardamom. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  3. Adjust Consistency:
If you prefer a thinner consistency, add more milk or water and blend again.

  4. Chill and Serve:
For a chilled drink, add a few ice cubes to the blender or serve over ice in glasses.

  5. Garnish:
Optionally, garnish with a sprinkle of ground cardamom or a few small mango pieces for extra flair.
